Here is a list of frequently asked questions related to our infrared panels. If you have any other questions, do not hesitate to contact us.
Do the Celsius and Fahrenheit infrared panels need special maintenance?
No, periodic cleaning with neutral detergents is enough.
Does the installation of heating systems with Celsius and Fahrenheit panels have to be done by specialized personnel?
It is not necessary, you only need two holes in the wall, two wall plugs (supplied) and a nearby electrical outlet.
Do the Celsius and Fahrenheit radiant panels get hot on contact?
The perceived temperature is lower than a common radiator. It is impossible to get burned. They are suitable for installation even in the presence of children or animals.
How to heat a room?
With one of our panels it is possible to heat an entire room with considerable savings and thermal comfort.
Does the panel alone manage to heat an entire house or is it just an implementation to an existing heating?
Our panel is a substitute for traditional heating.
Does the panel have a thermostat or does it just work in on / off mode?
The Celsius and Fahrenheit panels have computerized control units with an absorption system proportional to the difference between the set temperature and the detected one, i.e. as the desired temperature is reached, they gradually consume less energy until they reach zero consumption (normally they have a consumption of 50% of the total power).
With the Celsius control unit it is possible to program 6 times with different temperatures for each day of the week and has the entrance for any universal home automation system, while the Fahrenheit is LED and only one temperature can be set. In Fahrenheit panels you can install the Celsius control unit with a small surcharge.
Can the panels be connected to a normal power socket?
Yes, the infrared radiant panels work with the normal 220/230 v power supply.
If I only install one panel, do I have to increase the 3 Kwh?
No, no Kw increase is needed for a single panel.
Normally it is not necessary to increase the power even if we use the panels to heat the entire house.
If I replace my heating with Celsius and Fahrenheit panels throughout the house, do I have to increase the Kw?
No, the panels are designed to have reduced consumption and the management of the control unit allows maximum adjustment of the absorbed power.
Do the Celsius and Fahrenheit panels also act as dehumidifiers?
Yes, they heat and sanitize. This is possible because the infrared radiant plates create a uniform and homogeneous temperature inside the room, reducing the level of humidity present and thus creating healthier environments. Their high degree of electrical insulation makes them suitable for installations in humid environments such as bathrooms.
Do Celsius and Fahrenheit panels also eliminate mold?
Yes, by uniformly heating the surfaces they are sanitized from mold, bacteria and viruses.
What is the expected lifespan of the Celsius and Fahrenheit panels over time?
Celsius and Fahrenheit panels are guaranteed for 5 years (it is possible to extend the guarantee up to 15 years). For all panels the duration is 50 years (but since there are no components subject to wear, in reality the duration is almost unlimited).
Can electric radiant panels be installed on the ceiling?
Yes, but in the case of electric radiant ceiling heating the yield is reduced. Discover our Fahrenheit EP1 / A ceiling panel.
At what height and where should the electric radiant panel be installed?
It is advisable to install it centrally on the coldest wall 5/15 cm from the floor.
Any other position does not affect its functioning but only its efficiency.
Does the panel work like the microwave?
No!! The microwaves heat food and drinks as they act on the water molecules by putting them in motion at very high speed, the infrared rays are the sun’s rays, they heat the surfaces and do not act by altering or forcing the movement of the molecules.
Why do you install a control unit for each Celsius and Fahrenheit panel and not a single one for managing all the panels?
By doing this we can manage the heating and temperatures in the individual rooms. The house has different needs for the different rooms: for example, if the sun beats in one room and is heated by it, it will reach the desired temperature with less effort from the heating, if we had a single detector in another room where the sunshine doesn’t enter, this would not notice the temperature rise and would make the heating in the room work unnecessarily. Another example, when we enter the house, by opening the door we cool the entrance area (where the thermostat is normally installed), with our system the temperature of the panels will only rise in the area concerned without altering all the others, with the traditional system it would unnecessarily increase the temperature of the whole heater.
